Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Outpatient Physical Therapy Duration: 143 Days Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours, Monday-Friday, Variable Days Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Physical Therapy experience required License: Doctorate in Physical Therapy and active state license required Certifications: BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: - Graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy - Previous rehab experience - CPSI EMR experience preferred - Experience working with PTAs preferred - Ability to treat all common diagnoses seen in outpatient clinics - Flexibility to work inpatient PT as needed - Must have own vehicle Description: Our approach to physical therapy includes direct involvement with each patient. We combine advanced hands-on techniques with patient education and individualized rehabilitative programs. Each therapist has training in a variety of traditional techniques and many have training in non-traditional treatment methods. We help patients who have orthopaedic and sports injuries. We provide gait training, balance training, and treatment for fractures, sprains, and dislocations. We address musculoskeletal dysfunctions, neck and back pain, and neurological disorders such as stroke and Parkinson's. We focus on balance and fall prevention, bone and joint diseases, hand injuries, workplace injuries, and pelvic floor dysfunction. We also provide treatment for incontinence and pulmonary rehabilitation. The typical patient ratio is 8 per day, Monday-Thursday, and 6 on Friday. The traveler will be able to provide evaluations and treatments including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises for patients with varying diagnoses. Diagnosis includes post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis, general deconditioning, and balance and vertigo issues.
