Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Outpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 15:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the profession License: State licensed Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience with charting systems, preferably Cerner Description: Outpatient schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Focus on outpatient setting with possible flexibility to acute care. Coverage for weekends and holidays in acute care may be required if needed. Experience with various patient diagnoses including outpatient therapy and aquatics is preferred. Daily census consists of 6-8 patients with an expected number of visits per day being 8. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy and interpretation services. Special equipment may be utilized in treatment plans. Candidate should possess skills in adaptive devices, assessment, gait training, and discharge planning. Experience in managing specific conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, arthritis, and post-operative rehabilitation is beneficial. Familiarity with safety and injury prevention techniques and patient family education is essential.
