Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy – Cardiopulmonary Lincoln Memorial University | Knoxville, Tennessee
The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at its Knoxville, Tennessee, location.
LMU is seeking a collaborative educator and clinician with expertise in cardiopulmonary physical therapy to join our DPT faculty. The successful candidate will contribute to the program’s mission through teaching, scholarship, and service while helping prepare the next generation of physical therapists.
Primary teaching responsibilities will include cardiopulmonary and geriatric physical therapy content within the graduate curriculum. Candidates with expertise in two or more of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply:
Cardiopulmonary dysfunction and rehabilitation Acute care Wound care Pediatrics Geriatrics
Required Qualifications DPT or BSPT/MSPT with an academic doctorate Current Tennessee physical therapist license or eligibility for licensure prior to beginning teaching duties Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a physical therapist Minimum of two years of teaching experience in a clinical or college-level setting Relevant clinical expertise Strong commitment to student learning, collaboration, and professional excellence
Preferred Qualifications Academic doctorate (PhD, EdD, ScD, DHSc, or related degree); ABD candidates will be considered Previous teaching experience in a DPT program ABPTS Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in a relevant specialty area
