University Health is seeking a Heart Failure / Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding Cardiovascular Center. This is an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive heart failure care, help build a leading Advanced Heart Failure Program, and make a lasting impact on patient outcomes across our region.
Role Highlights:
Deliver expert inpatient and outpatient care for heart failure patients.
Optimize GDMT and manage complex, advanced heart failure cases.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (APPs, ECMO/ICU staff, nurse navigators, and case management).
Participate in program development for advanced therapies, mechanical circulatory support, and transplant referrals.
Build strong referral networks throughout South Texas.
Qualifications:
MD/DO with board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular disease.
Subspecialty board certification or eligibility in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology preferred.
Strong leadership, teamwork, and commitment to quality, patient-centered care.
Experience with LVAD, ECMO, and transplant patients preferred.
