Travel Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment to inpatient rehabilitation patients including those with TBI, stroke, orthopedic, cardiac, SCI, pulmonary, and debility diagnoses
- Perform therapeutic procedures including e-stim, ultrasound, splinting, wound care, and limb wrapping
- Utilize safe patient handling techniques and specialized equipment such as Sara Steady, Sara Plus, Hoyer lifts, Viking lifts, and sliding boards
- Document clinical care accurately using Meditech and RehabConnect EMR systems
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, family training sessions, and durable medical equipment recommendations
- Monitor and manage pressure ulcer prevention strategies and implement bowel/bladder and skin integrity protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience
- Current, active PT licensure to practice in the state of North Carolina
- Proficiency in safe patient handling techniques and relevant rehabilitation protocols
- Experience with EMR documentation and regulatory compliance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Demonstrated critical thinking and time management abilities
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting
- Familiarity with wheelchair, prosthetics, orthotics, and adaptive equipment training
- Knowledge of autonomic dysreflexia prevention protocols and related complication management
- Experience working within a CARF or specialty-certified rehabilitation environment
